Job Description

Position Summary:

The Regional Director of Clinical Operations is a key member of the clinical operations team for a fast growing and 3rd largest long-term health and rehabilitation organization in Michigan. Mission Point Healthcare Systems has experienced significant growth and will continue that growth both organically and through acquisitions. The Regional Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for executing short and long-term objectives focusing on clinical outcomes, value, quality, and experience within the region.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the organization with assessing, planning, developing, and implementing systems, processes and other needs as requested.
  • Consult and provide technical or interim management assistance as requested.
  • Participate in comprehensive quality assessments.
  • Assist with accurately reporting of facility reportable incidents (FRIs) and investigations.
  • Support Director of Nursing and Critical Care Coordinator with the onboarding process and provide support as needed.
  • Assist with Corporate and facility level quality assurance and performance improvement.
  • Maintain quality measures / indicators (QA/I) analysis, trending, and tracking.
  • Responsible for assuring and reviewing routing and non-routine audits for the following areas; nursing, dietary, social services, life enrichment, environmental including equipment safety and human resources including physicals, in services, required vaccinations and competency review.
  • Takes measures to assure services are provided in compliance with all laws and regulations and policies are of the highest quality and are managed most effectively and efficiently.
  • Keeps current working knowledge of laws, regulations, and accrediting requirements affecting the operations of long-term and rehabilitation healthcare.
  • Assist with MDS/RAPs/Care plan accuracy.
  • Assist with the effective use and implementation of the electronic health record (Point Click Care). Ensure optimal understanding of EHR clinical application through the development and implementation of organized training programs and materials.
  • Communicate HER concepts to clinical staff and physicians with varying levels of computer competencies.
  • Work with clinical services to ensure clinical applications support quality care, census growth and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide written reports as requested in a timely manner.
  • Works collaboratively with clinical services to coordinator standardization of clinical documentation with education for clinical staff.
  • Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organizations goals and objectives.
  • Travel between facilities within region regularly and collaborate with staff (up to 50%).

Qualifications

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse or BSN required, MSN or equivalent preferred and / or NHA preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in Long-term Care in a leadership role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with all levels of employees.
  • Highly ethical. Can be trusted to maintain financial integrity of the organization
