The Regional Manager is accountable to manage onboarding and on-going performance of Apheresis Centers used for Celgene Clinical and Commercial Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cell Therapies in their assigned region. The Regional Manager will also manage a regional team of Apheresis Specialists.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with Clinical and Commercial CAR-T teams to establish the collection site footprint that will support the clinical trial and commercial site plans for assigned region.
- Work hand in hand with Clinical Trial Managers, the Commercial Team (Account Managers and Launch Excellence Managers) to ensure apheresis accounts are on-boarded in alignment with the clinical site/commercial account plans.
- Lead and manage mixed team of field-based and office-based Apheresis Specialists responsible for onboarding assigned sites within region.
- Communicate collection site on-boarding status to Clinical and Commercial teams and develop and execute mitigation plans for delayed timelines.
- Perform technical site assessments and train collection center staff on BMS collection requirements.
- Provide Quality Systems support by participating in deviation activities and impact/investigation assessments for cell collection centers.
- Manage rollout of process changes to assigned sites and internal departments.
- Collect VOC (voice of customer) and VOB (voice of business) feedback used for continuous operations improvement
- Review, collect and enter data into electronic data management systems
- Work with Quality Assurance and other internal business partners to monitor and assess vendor performance and capacity after site launch.
- Represent the department on cross-functional project teams, as requested.
- Comply with applicable SOP’s and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Life Science
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in regulated environment either hospital or pharma/biotech with apheresis and cell therapy experience preferred
