The Role

Overview:

The Refrigeration Service Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance support of refrigerated storage equipment.

Here's what you'll do:

With little or no supervision:

  • Perform routine service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment
  • Use working knowledge of screw and reciprocal compressors, electrical troubleshooting all common types of ammonia central systems, and control/alarm system to perform inspections and preventative maintenance as required
  • Maintain safety standards on job sites
  • Other duties as assigned

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in Industrial Refrigeration (NH3)
  • Universal EPA certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • RETA 1 & 2 certification preferred
  • Familiarity with Anhydrous Ammonia Refrigeration and its properties
  • Experience with controls and electrical systems (high and low voltage)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be organized and possess good time management skills to prioritize workload
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check
  • Ability to wear a respirator and pass a fit test
  • Requires overtime, daily traveling, and occasional heavy lifting
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in Spanish and/or English. Conversational English and/or Spanish is desired but not required.
