The Sr. Loan Processor performs vital functions that focus on the customer relationship and their Redfin Mortgage experience from submission to Underwriting and through funding while adhering to compliance policies and disclosure timelines. This position is currently 100% remote. In-office work will resume at a later date, yet to be determined. Technical equipment will be provided and training will be conducted virtually. Here’s what you’ll do:

• Work closely with Mortgage Advisor, underwriter, closer and borrower as needed to ensure all parties are aware of loan status and any outstanding requirements ensuring world-class customer service experience
• Daily pipeline management to include, but not limited to, condition follow up, vendor follow up as well as borrow communication standards are met
• Order required verifications as outlined Redfin Mortgage Underwriting and Funding policies including but not limited to Title, Appraisal, Flood Cert, 4506, VOEs, Fraud Guard and social security verifications
• Review supporting documentation for completeness and consistency with the loan application. Input missing or modified information in LOS, communicating discrepancies with information and documentation requirements with your Mortgage Advisor.
• Display excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Maintain and cultivate world-class working relationship with internal production team members/customers, engaging proactively with Mortgage Advisors, underwriters, funders and post-closing team members in regards to loan decisions, assignment of conditions, company/investor guidelines and loan scenarios
• Contribute to process improvement suggestions to promote process efficiency and improve consumer experience

What you bring to the table:

• Experience using Fannie Mae’s Desktop Underwriter and Freddie Mac’s Loan Prospector
• Experience with various product guidelines for Conventional, Jumbo, Government loans
• Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about delivering excellence in customer service.
• Demonstrated patience and professionalism when interacting with both internal and external customers
• Self-directed with a strong desire to learn and be a member of a winning team

Requirements:

• 5+ years of mortgage processing experience
• Experience in using an Automated Underwriting System
• Automated Asset Verification system experience preferred
• Experience in manually ordering vendor services
• Experience in processing conventional purchase loans
• Demonstrated proficiency with computers and mainstream computer applications (Microsoft, Google, etc.)
• Solid understanding of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations
