Job Summary


The Recruitment Specialist for the College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) will work with the Director of Recruitment to recruit increasingly well-prepared and diverse students by highlighting the curricular and career options in the health and human sciences. This includes meeting individually with prospective students and families, giving presentations, promoting HHS careers in junior high and high schools, and developing recruitment programs. There is a strong focus on recruiting students from diverse backgrounds to HHS. Travel and work on nights and weekends will be required.


Required:

  • Master's Degree, preferably in Student Services, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or Marketing
  • One year of relevant work experience
  • Must have an earned graduate or professional degree in a field relevant to the position or must possess an appropriate combination of educational credentials and related work experience
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of undergraduate student recruitment and marketing
  • Must be able to collaborate with faculty, staff students and parents
  • Basic skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have experience with social media and publication software
  • Must have the ability to problem-solve and utilize campus resources for individuals and groups
  • Willingness to work in a changing environment

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of programs and majors at Purdue University
