Recruiter/HR Specialist
SimIS Inc, an innovative information technology solution Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), is currently seeking a dedicated Recruiter/HR Specialist to join our administrative team. This role will provide full lifecycle recruiting through identifying future hiring needs, designing job descriptions, sourcing passive candidates through databases and social media, conducting interviews, ensuring a strong career site presentation, and keeping abreast of employment law and legislation. This role will also manage onboarding and new hire orientation, employee benefits and enrollment, compliance for EEO/AAP records, employee performance and policies.

Recruiter/HR Specialist Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Identifying future hiring needs and developing job descriptions.
- Collaborating with department managers to compile a consistent list of requirements.
- Attending recruiting meetings with hiring managers to update on status of open positions.
- Attracting suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
- Conducting interviews and sorting through applicants to fill open positions.
- Assessing applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
- Conducting background checks and completing paperwork for new hires to include training requirements.
- Promoting the company's reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity.
- Managing internship programs.
- Keeping up-to-date on current employment legislation and regulations and enforcing them within the company.
- Prepare and maintain reports necessary for compliance, i.e. EEO and AAP
- Manage employee benefits to include annual open enrollment and new hire enrollment.
- Manage and maintain performance reviews to include annual and 90 day as well as employee relations.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Recruiter/HR Specialist Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.
- 3-5 years of recruiting experience including social media platforms.
- Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Experience working with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
- Efficiency utilizing MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail is critical.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, initiative, and results-oriented capabilities.
- Must be able to work professionally with confidential information.
- Good interpersonal skills, decision making skills and judgement.
- A working knowledge of employment law and legislation.
- Government contracting experience preferred.
