Job Description
Responsible for coordinating the recruitment functions for all assigned positions. Works directly with Department Managers in accomplishing required duties and responsibilities.

Compares candidate's skills to applicable job descriptions and independently screens candidates based on criteria.
- Selects candidates for interviews based on independent assessment of candidate's qualifications, work history and the verification of all required licenses/certifications.
- Conducts initial interviews of candidates, screens and uses independent judgment to determine whether the person is a good fit for the position based on each applicant's attributes.
- Corresponds with applicants regarding interviews, openings, and questions.
- Works closely with managers in maintaining an active strategic recruitment plan, based on the needs of the department.
- Creates comprehensive recruitment plans, clarifies required job skills and competencies, and uses the best sourcing strategies and techniques for each job category.
- Prepares advertisements and develops recruiting contacts with agencies and placement offices.
- Obtains reference information, background checks and transcripts on all potential candidates.
- Manages the offer process, negotiates pay and benefits (within boundaries), may make job offer on behalf of Medical Center after consultation with department manager.
- Acts as a liaison between the candidate and the Hiring Manager, Director or VP during negotiations and reports regularly on candidate pipeline status.
- Provides counseling in career progression, work or policy related issues to employees.
- Participates in the ADA Inter Active (IA) Process for individuals with work restrictions.
- Evaluates trends in specialized recruitment and the job market to recommend recruitment strategies; participates in career days, open-houses and other activities to attract qualified candidates.
- Keeps informed of State and federal laws regarding hiring practices.
- Utilizes internal sources, advertising, placement/recruitment agencies, or other sources as appropriate to obtain applicants.
- Works directly with Public Relations Department and Media Services placing social media ads in coordinating recruitment material, and maintains recruitment material in an up-to-date form.
- Establishes and maintains an organized file and records system as required and necessary to perform the various job duties.
- Conducts exit interviews.
- Schedules applicants for post offer heatlh assessment.
- Serves on committees as requested.
