In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Experience which has provided a general working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities and programs. Experience of recreational activities and equipment, rules and procedures in a recreation program. Possess or obtain an approved First Aid and CPR certification within the first 30 days of employment. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record with no major violations due to own negligence.
EducationSome federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. About the position:
This position is located at Outdoor Recreation. Flexible position category with no guaranteed hours or benefits.
Position has uncommon work schedule which includes weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, exposed to a variety of cold or hot weather.
Responsibilities
Assists with the implementation of an outdoor adventure program. Lead activities to include: horseback rides, camping trips, fishing trips, hiking, skiing, shopping outings, sightseeing tours, casino or gaming trips. Maintains and performs basic preventative maintenance of equipment used, to include cleaning, sewing and repairs. As the trip leader, is responsible for assisting in the planning and preparations of meals. Maintains control of and accounts for whereabouts and safety of assigned patrons. Operate a 13-15 passenger van with trailer.
