About the position:
This position will be assigned to the Arts and Crafts Center on Holloman AFB.

This a Flexible work schedule 0-40 hours a week.

Must be able to lift and carry items up to and including 50 lbs. Subject to metal and wood splinters, adhesives, cuts, burns and brusies.


Responsibilities

This position is located in the Arts & Crafts Center of the 49th Force Support Squadron Holloman AFB. The incumbent is responsible for assisting other specialists in the operation and maintenance of the Arts and Crafts Resale, Ceramics, Engraving, Embroidery and Frame Shops. Assists customers in taking custom engraving, ceramics, embroidery and framing orders; while demonstrating the basic techniques of engraving, embroidery and custom framing. Operates a variety of tools and equipment to include but not limited to: embroidery machine, sewing machine, computerized engraver, heat press, power tools, glass cutter, mat cutter, pneumatic stapler, vacuum press, and small hand tools. Informs patrons of safety rules and ensures they are followed by demonstrating safe working techniques. May instruct framing classes. Maintains equipment and basic housekeeping order in the facility. May assist with monthly inventory, restocking merchandise and purchase ordering. May operate a point of sale system, collects, safeguards, reconciles and deposits monies received from customers for all assigned areas. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
