Job Description

The individual in the receptionist position is vital in maintaining a positive agency image and identity; establishing best first impressions and assisting individuals. The individual in this position will provide daily clerical assistance as needed and assigned.

The intake specialist job requires an individual who is able to pay very close attention to detail and get required information from clients and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sets positive first contact impressions. Greets and answers telephone callers in a courteous, friendly and pleasant manner.
  • Provides service and support in a professional manner with reliability and dependability.
  • Possesses the ability to adjust to constantly changing workloads.
  • Processes paperwork for new clients efficiently and in accordance with protocols.
  • Obtains pertinent information from new clients courteously and professionally.
  • Collects data to help with the admission process.
  • Ensures that all admission forms are properly signed and filed.
  • Displays the ability to communicate with others effectively, listen closely and convey points clearly.
  • Shows proficiency with computer programs which may include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and others.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and the ability to calm patients or clients who may be distraught.

Qualifications:

  • Customer Service and/or Medical Business Office experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must type 50 WPM with knowledge of English rules of spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Competent utilization of positive phone answering techniques and etiquette.
  • Ability to use personal computer and word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
  • Bilingual a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
