Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Per Diem Receptionist.
In this role, the successful candidate provides a professional courteous greeting to those entering the institution and to help facilitate connecting visitors, patients, professionals, and vendors with appropriate medical center departments and staff. Provide information services as permitted by regulations for patients, visitors, and the general public.
Job Responsibilities:
- Exhibits appropriate telephone courtesy, including answering telephone promptly (by third ring) identifies self and department, speaks clearly, and takes accurate messages.
- Uses Cyracom phone or other communication technology effectively when interpreter services are needed.
- Uses computer efficiently and effectively to locate necessary information.
- Promptly greets visitors, patients and staff as they approach the desk. Promotes a pleasant, professional and customer friendly service.
- Is knowledgeable about locations and familiar with departments nursing units and other patient services. Facilitates customers in finding appropriate departments meeting locations and staff members.
- Follows strict policies regarding provision of patient condition room number and telephone contact information.
- Maintains records and updates daily census Operating Room and Recovery list deliveries to patients and television requests.
- Assists with distribution of visitor passes for Behavioral Health.
- Knowledgeable about and proactively seeks information about new programs and services in order to provide current and accurate information.
- Communicates questions issues and concerns regarding information services to supervisor.
- Organizes and maintains work area.
- Request supplies and reports equipment problems.
- Willingly performs other related duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
