Receptionist- Outpatient Center in Upton, MA

Full-time (40 hours per week) administrative opportunity available in our community health program that provides psychiatric treatment for children, families and adults.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Greet and check-in individuals coming into the clinic. Direct client to appropriate waiting area. Assist non-client visitors based on the reason for their visit
- Answers telephones, screens and directs calls to the appropriate individuals.
- Operates central message center, including taking telephone messages and distributing mail on a daily basis to the appropriate mailboxes.
- Greets and directs persons served to the appropriate individuals or program setting.
- Provides regular clerical support to staff, including, but not limited to, scheduling some of the provider’s appts, computer entry, collect copays at time of service, organizing, typing, filing and copying on timely basis, as needed. Enter. update and scan data into electronic medical record system as needed.
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Required Skills
- Able to work independently, i.e. make sound decisions with little supervision and take initiative to complete tasks without waiting for direction
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented, flexible, reliable, responsible and friendly
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and computer skills (including Microsoft Office) required
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain databases and spreadsheets is required
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or some college experience preferred; High School Degree/GED required
- Minimum one-year administrative experience required
- Minimum one year experience working in a mental health or social service setting preferred
