Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

This position is accountable for the accurate and timely recording and processing of all material(s) received to the facility. To receive and distribute or stage incoming materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurate and timely recording and processing of all shipments from this facility.
  • Validate accuracy and process all receipts on a daily basis.
  • Be responsible to make sure all material is stored properly after receipt. Drive usage by FIFO.
  • Inspect all incoming goods for potential damage during unloading.
  • Transfer materials into the proper storage location.
  • Manage the finished goods inventory. All in and outs on daily basis to 100% accuracy.
  • Maintain proper records and paperwork regarding shipments.
  • Schedule common carriers for shipment pick-up, including airfreight and foreign shipments.
  • Communicate with Production Control, Sales and Credit departments in regard to problems or potential problems involving shipments.
  • Data entry in SAP system pertaining to product billing.
  • Able to work overtime as required.
  • Prepare material for shipment on a daily basis ( Band/Wrap/Palletize).
  • Maintain the shed and all material in the shed to 100% accuracy.
  • Provide daily box count for copper.
  • Replenish Aiki copper inventory racks.
  • Move Material from Shed to inside warehouse.
  • Process all transactions to documents any material movement to maintain 100% locational accuracy.
  • 100% transactional accuracy for material locations and movement.
  • Communicate any discrepancies to purchasing.
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned work areas including equipment, tools, and work surfaces.
  • Ensure all records and shipments are processed with 100 % accuracy.
  • Protect material from damage by following proper handling techniques.
  • Report damaged material or equipment immediately upon discovery.
  • Process all transactions to accurately movement and document material actions.
  • Bail all cardboard to be recycled and load it onto the on site trailer.
  • All employees will be required to participate in training and continuous improvement events.
  • Ability to work within a company registered/compliant to National and International Standards and Requirements, and contribute to those standards and requirements. For example: ISO, EICC, OSHA, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Forklift certificates are required.
  • ISO 9001

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Three to six months related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience using a PC.
  • Previous experience using SAP preferred.
  • Previous receiving experience desired.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate and speak effectively.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic & computer skills.
  • Ability to convert from the metric system.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
