Job Description
Essential Functions of Position
Admissions Director
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of admissions process from initial inquiry to post decision letter
- Promotes the Day School and attracts new students by maintaining working relationship with other independent schools and allied professional; participates in annual admissions fairs, trade shows, and other LD related conferences to increase school visibility and recognition
- Welcomes prospective families to the campus by staging regular open houses, group tours, private tours, and other admissions related events.
- Act as first contact on all admissions inquiries, field incoming phone calls, and address admissions related inquiries prospective parents.
- Conduct initial file reviews, and parent/ student interviews as part of initial admissions inquiry and formal admission process; coordinates feral on-site assessment with Admissions Committee members.
- Manages all admissions scheduling and communication.
- Develop and manage Enrollment Agreements, and all communication to parents regarding contracts in coordinate with Business Office
- Prepare admissions files to ensure all information is current and complete.
Financial Aid:
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of financial aid process;
- Use School and Student Services (SSS) reports and data, in conjunction with additional documentation provided by par
- to determine financial aid eligibility.
- Manage and allocate financial aid awards based on FA budget (determined by Executive Director)
- Responsible for all communication with families regarding financial aid process, decisions, and appeals; Issue decision letters with contracts
- Communicate with Business Office, Executive Director, and Accounting Manager/Controller regarding financial awards
- Maintain and develop financial aid materials (guidebook, flyers, and informational sheets)
Enrollment Management and Development:
- Coordinate with the Executive Director on ways to meet enrollment goals, as well as to increase annual student ret
- Responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating admissions and marketing materials (i.e. viewbook, inserts, brochures)
- Coordinate social media
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of the department's communication plan to prospective admitted students.
- Create and distribute Raskob Newsletter to allied professionals
- Participate in project-based fundraising, as coordinated by the University's Office of Institutional Advancement
- Coordinate marketing plan and advertising to the greater community (print publications, banner ads with the purpose of promoting the school's visibility
- Contributing member of the marketing and communication committee
- Raskob Parents Association Liaison
- Collaborate to develop annual school wide master calendar
- Maintains confidentiality of information exposed to in the course of business regarding students, families, and financial eligibility
Other Duties:
- Assists in compliance and accreditation duties when requested.
- Attends additional meetings as requested.
- Meets regularly with administration
- Meets as needed with teachers/ teaching associates to provide oversight and support collaboration in the classroom regarding goals and expectations.
- Supervises teaching associates to provide oversight, support, and collaboration in the classroom and for non-academic times regarding goals and expectations.
- Library oversight
- Oversees emergency preparedness plans and supplies
Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized institution of higher learning, with a background in social science, education, and/or psychology or related field desirable.
- Minimum of two years of experience, in a school setting; previous experience providing services to a client-oriented and parent community. Previous leadership or administration experience desired
- Enjoys working with people in a highly challenging and collaborative environment. Must enjoy working with children Strong command of the English language as demonstrated in oral and written communication, as well as with written text. Demonstrates cultural competency
