Radiation Therapist - Full Time

Overview:

• Work in a collaborative environment with a patient first focus and a team approach to care.
• Perform technical and clinical tasks associated with simulation including accurate positioning, fabrication of immobilization devices and tattooing per center standard.
• Deliver radiation treatment delivering the prescribed dosage of ionizing radiation precisely to each patient using state of art techniques including IMRT, SRS, SRT, Vision RT, Breath hold.
• Image patients per order, document and charge care provided.
• Monitor and adhere to all radiation safety procedures for the department.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and departmental flow and efficiency.
• Maintain necessary education requirements for licensing while developing skills and knowledge.
• Maintain environment of care following best practice; minimizing risks and maintaining infection prevention standards.

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiation Therapy School
• 2-3 years’ experience with Varian equipment preferred.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification
• New Jersey Radiation Therapy License
• BLS for Health Care
