Weinbrenner Shoe Company in Merrill, WI is looking for a Quality Technician to join our Quality Department. This is a mid-level position with growth potential.
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician is responsible for following established rules for the inspection and identification of footwear related quality issues under the Weinbrenner Shoe Co. quality assurance program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Perform Quality inspections on finished footwear, sourced assemblies, and raw materials per established National, Weinbrenner, or customer specified standards.
- Investigation of non-conformances, development, and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Work closely with production leadership to ensure Weinbrenner Shoe Co. Quality Standards are satisfied.
- Development of process controls and associated documentation to work within the ISO 9001:2015 system.
- Document evidence and results of inspections for process improvement.
- Problem solving and improvements throughout the manufacturing and sourcing processes.
Requirements include:
- 2 year degree in Quality related studies. On-the-job experience may be considered as equivalent.
- 5 years' experience in Quality role.
- Training in CAPA, Root Cause Investigation.
- Statistical data analysis.
- Experience working within an ISO-based (or similar) quality system.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven with investigative attitude.
- Ability to record data and information, written and computer.
- Good computer skills - Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work with others in a teamwork setting.
- Detail oriented with superior accuracy.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience with statistical analysis.
- ASQ Certifications.
- Ability to commute to Merrill and Marshfield locations equally.
- Familiarity with ASQ Z1.4, ASTM Standards, NFPA Standards.
