Job Description
Aircraft Technology, Inc., (ATI), a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, is an FAA/EASA Part 145 Repair Station. ATI supports a wide range of rotary and fixed wing components found on both commercial and military platforms around the world.
The Quality Specialist will work directly with the Quality Manager with important systems and maintain information as necessary, using designated programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for calibration tool collection, computer program update, and scanning and maintaining calibration certificates and database.
- Familiarization and understanding of the applicable regulations, inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine the airworthiness of a component returned from outside service vendors.
- Verify part number and serial number of the items received into the repair station match customer's paperwork.
- Updating revisions on OEM technical data and repair station documents
- Respond to repair station customer surveys.
- Initiate "Capability Evaluation Form" on all components not found in the repair stations FAA accepted capability list during receiving inspection
- Update data in the corrective action computer software system.
- Assist quality manager during internal audits.
- Writing, and editing procedures.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited school.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience required.
- FAA Repair Station experience preferred.
- Experience in ISO9001:2015 and AS9110C.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:
- Language/Communication: Excellent communication skills both written and oral required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
- Reasoning Abilities: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to details and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary, with minimal supervisory direction. Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks. Very high degree of accuracy in accomplishing the repetitive handling of various technical documents
- Interpersonal Skills: Must work well in a team environment and independently.
