Pratt & Whitney’s has an extensive aftermarket presence in the US, Europe and Asia with over 60 years of MRO experience. To meet our growing aftermarket market share and entry into service the NEO and GTF programs P&W Aftermarket Quality has the need for X Quality Assurance Sector Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for overseeing our DAT (Disassembly Assembly Test) and DSP (Designated Service Partners) aviation maintenance business partners worldwide
  • Responsible for the DAT and DSPs compliance to P&W requirements and provide guidance on matters related to quality
  • Conduct independent annual audits
  • Support global quality assurance teams, to resolve problems and improve processes
  • Develop and nurture relationships with regulatory agencies
  • Review regulatory changes and assess impact(s) and communicate as appropriate
  • Help development of aftermarket procedures
  • Assess production & process readiness for the DATs and DSPs complaint to industry requirements
  • Support safety board investigation as Part 145.221 or FAR 21.3 regulatory requirements.
  • Support senior and local Corrective Action Boards

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in mechanical, aeronautical engineering or equivalent with knowledge in quality management
  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in similar capacity or equivalent in the aviation industry. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in aero-engine component repair environment
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Well-versed in various Civil Aviation Regulations (FAA, EASA minimum; CAAC and CAAS preferred).
  • Experience in applying ISO 9001, AS9100 and AS9110
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills, with strong quality leadership
  • Good analytical skills to develop monitor and interpret key metrics and business indicators.
  • Strong drive for continuous process improvements
