Job Purpose:
Responsible for QC mechanical and optical inspections and the testing of incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods including inspections required in support of validation activities in accordance with ISO regulations.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Organize, collect, and analyze quality data to ensure product meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- As quality issues surface, raise awareness with supervisors and assist in troubleshooting activities.
- Open and close NCRs (non-conformance reports) as needed.
Secondary Responsibilities (Non-essential Functions)
- Interpret blueprints.
- Input data into computer, preparing charts or graphs for analysis.
- Assist in troubleshooting operational or quality issues as needed.
- Assist in cross-training and mentoring of other technicians.
Report Preparation
- Routine reports such as NCR reports, Inspection reports, Supplier reports and others as required
Level of Skill, Education and Experience
High School Diploma and at least 2-3 years medical device manufacturing/quality experience is required. Associates Degree is preferred. Experience with metrology, print interpretation, understanding of geometric dimensions and interpreting tolerances is a must. Should be able to collect data and publish routine reports and correspondence and have basic computer skills and knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
