This position is located in Ozark, Alabama and will act as a Quality Inspector to support operations at the site.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all inspections are properly performed and work is completed before it is released to the customer, and that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms used by the facility are properly executed
  • Ensure that no defective or unairworthy parts are installed in any component or unit released by the facility
  • Prepare flight inspection reports and all other necessary data for complete and final inspection prior to customer acceptance and final delivery.
  • Approves acceptable work or rejects all work which fails to meet required standards and recommends corrective action to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide support to ensure compliance with FAA, AS 9100, DCMA 8210 requirements
  • Assist in the performance of first article inspections, destructive testing, receiving inspections, planning reviews, new product conformance and material testing
  • Perform trend analysis to assist in quality continuous improvement activities
  • Assist with quality investigations of internal and external product non-conformances
  • Assist with maintaining employee training records
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

Experience/Skills Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with hands-on quality inspection or equivalent
  • Strong organization and communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team
  • Maintenance/Inspection experience on Bell platforms a plus. UH-1H, TH-1H, 407, etc.
  • Airframe, Powerplant or A&P Certificate preferred
  • General knowledge in the use of process specifications, engineering data, material specifications, and process manuals
  • Familiarity with FARs, and aviation inspection methods, techniques, and practices used to determine aircraft airworthiness when maintenance or alterations have been performed
  • Ability to perform root cause and corrective action analysis
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Familiar with basic measuring equipment such as micrometers, scales, calipers, tape measure
  • Ability to learn and interpret blueprints and Bell drawings with assistance
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as required by business need
  • Familiarity with Part 145 repair station and various military aircraft forms and records procedures, FAA forms 337, and logbook entries
  • Familiar with ERP System

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods (up to duration of a 10-hour shift)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
