Job Duties:
Performs Routine QC control in manufacturing and production. Develops and maintains inspection reports.
Income part inspections by request (from Internal and External sources)
Ensure compliance to company standards and specifications and execute non-conformance Reporting when necessary. Follow-up and verify non-conformance disposition and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence.
Identify, create and follow up to verify repair of inspection tags written to ensure compliance
Be an active Quality team member that strategically focuses on strategic company objectives
Establish quality standards, procedures, and documentation to increase QMS and implementation of preventative measures.
Ability to read blueprints, specifications and work order to ensure that Plasser American meets all appropriate requirements.
A successful candidate will be comfortable recommending and spearheading adjustments and changes to processes (Production or Transactional) based on our strategic objectives
Inspect and testing materials and equipment produced.
Use of a wide array of measuring instruments from Tape measure, Thread Gage, Bore Gage, Caliper, Depth Vernier, Micrometers to Coordinate Measuring Machine and Optical Comparator.
Be willing to make fact-based judgments to Accept or reject finished products by providing standard driven feedback with the production team
Perform inspections and audits at random to assess process and product compliance
Implement training driven by standards set forth in QMS to develop a shared comprehension of expectation between the workforce and support teams.
Use of department issued QC Stamp ID on all items inspected within designated areas.
Relay important Quality information to their designated areas. For example, Part Containment / Isolation Requirements, Quality Alerts, and the Capture &Documentation of issues identified throughout general tasks.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, trade school or experience preferred
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Technical skills and ability to understand blueprints, documentation and manuals
Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
Ability to lead by influence and have excellent organizational skills
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
Manual dexterity, physical strength and physical stamina
Proactive approach with QC and ability to think through next steps
A successful candidate has a basic understanding of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001:2015 Standards and be willing to work in an environment where your development is our priority.
