Job Description
    Position Summary
      The Quality Data Analyst II will analyze and report on key clinical performance measures by identifying and accessing relevant data sources, aggregating and manipulating data as needed, preparing graphs and tables from data, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data and reported measures, and submitting information to CMS and other agencies as requested. In addition, the Quality Data Analyst II will serve as a resource and coach for quality data analysis and reporting, help create and maintain clinical registries and associated datasets, and support the analysis and reporting needs of organization-wide quality improvement projects as well as planning and evaluation related to clinical quality, patient safety and patient experience. Prefer experience in healthcare setting and familiarity with measures/data that is required to be reported to CMS. Leapfrog and other external health care organizations. Desire to be a super-user/centralized resource for new quality reporting software.
    Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent training with at least five years of relevant healthcare experience OR bachelor’s degree with at least three years of relevant healthcare experience required.

    • Experience: See "Education." Experience working with inter-professional teams.
    • Familiarity with relevant computer software, e.g., Excel, Access, CMS Abstraction and Reporting Tool (CART), or equivalent required
    • Familiarity with electronic health records and HIPAA privacy regulations required
    • Familiarity with clinical quality measurement, CMS core measures, and performance improvement tools and concepts, e.g., plan-do-study-act, required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite or equivalent preferred
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Collaborative and team oriented
