Quality Control Technician

COMPANY OVERVIEW: Eagle Beverage is a manufacturer of specialty beverage and plastic consumer products. The company is looking for dynamic, energetic and committed Production Quality Control Technicians.

GENERAL SCOPE: Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the plant 24x7 manufacturing operations. This position also supports strategic manufacturing operations plan and objectives; maintains records; supports a safe and healthy work environment.

Essential Job Functions:

• Conduct daily GMPs.
• Conduct pre shift checks with operators.
• Sign off on first piece inspection forms.
• Conduct regular (3) finished product specs on each machine.
• Complete all inspections and fill out inspection forms correctly.
• Complete all machine line inspections and fill out line inspection forms correctly in their entirety.
• Monitor raw materials/ingredients for continued quality, identifying needed replacement products.
• Monitor all production lines to ensure they are operating in a clean, efficient manner meeting and exceeding all of the SQF requirements and regulatory standards.
• Monitor the HOLD program and resolve the disposition of the product.
• Monitor waste and report any abnormal amounts to management.
• Report any and all non-compliances to management.
• Add maintenance fixes to the maintenance app as required.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• High School diploma required
• Caliper experience preferred.
• HACCP and SQF certifications or experience preferred.
• Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees.
• Problem solving skills; exercises good judgment in determining best method and procedure to be followed.
• Computer experience including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Forms

Essential Job Functions:

Experience

• 2 or more years of experience in food production environment, manufacturing quality or other related field preferred.
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the same expertise.
• Experience with extrusion or packaging production equipment preferred.
