Quality Compliance Coordinator
This is a full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday position. Hours are roughly 8AM - 4:30PM, however can be shifted slightly based on applicant availability.
Position Summary/Objective
The Quality Compliance Coordinator will work under the guidance of the Quality Systems Manager to assist in various organizational, regulatory, and quality assurance initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply for and achieve FAA designee appointment.
- Conduct inspection / verification activities for issuance of 8130-3 Authorized Release Certificate / Airworthiness Approval Tags.
- Assist Quality Systems Manager in addressing regulatory, customer, and industry requirements.
- Conduct internal audits as specified by the Quality Systems Manager.
- Oversee calibration recall system.
- Assist in maintaining CAPA system and associated RCCAs.
- Draft and update QMS documentation as required.
- Assists QA and Engineering with regards to various improvement projects (LEAN, 6S, Kaizen, KATA events).
- Reviewing incoming supplies and products from vendors to check for defects and ensure quality.
- Conducting tests and assessments on products to identify quality issues.
- Maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flaws.
- Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.
Required Education and Experience
- Associate degree or equivalent hands on experience with quality assurance and / or regulatory affairs methodologies.
- Strong knowledge with regards to:
- FAA regulations: Specifically, Parts 21 and 145. FAA designee (in good standing) with 12 months experience in issuing domestic / export Authorized Release Certificates preferred.
- ISO9001:2015 / AS9100D requirements and internal auditing methods.
- Mechanical Inspection techniques and use of various hand tools.
- Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Preferred Skills, Experience, and Certifications
- Experience in various improvement methodologies (LEAN, 6S, Kaizen, KATA)
