Overview: The Quality Assurance Technician provides support to Manufacturing Operations or Quality Engineering by tests and/or inspection of products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates collected data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.

Responsibilities:A role like this comes with some important responsibilities. Some of those responsibilities include:
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or standards in order to inspect or test product throughout the manufacturing processes to determine if it is fit for conformance or customer requirements. This can include dimensional, attribute, performance, mechanical or chemical characteristics.
- Records test data, applying statistical process control procedures where applicable.
- Documents reports to validate or identify details for deviations from existing standards, where and when required.
- Supports calibration of tools and gages as required.
- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
- Operates various types of measurement equipment required to evaluate product conformance (i.e. various coordinate measuring machines, profilometer, hardness tester, optical comparators, various gages (calipers, micrometers, protractors, etc.)
- Leads and/or supports gage R&R or related measurement system analysis activities as required.
- Coordinate activities related to Material Review Board (MRB) or supports as directed.
- Leads containment activities and/or supports sorting activities as requested for external or internal sorts as directed by the quality department leadership.
- Leads or supports audits as requested by quality department. This includes but not limited to various ISO audits as well as product audits at various stages of the manufacturing process.

For this Quality Assurance Technician position, we expect the following:
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred but not required; five years experience in manufacturing or engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. - MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply mathematical concepts to the degree necessary. - REASONING ABILITY
Ability to determine product status based on test & inspection results. - OTHER
Must have or be willing to learn: Blueprint reading as applicable to manufacturing of metals, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement Techniques (Metrology), Computer Application basics (Windows, Spreadsheets, etc.), Coordinate Measuring Machine applications (CMM-Romer), Ability to work with people (Team Player)
