The Unaccompanied Children (UC) program is committed to providing quality care for vulnerable children during their temporary stay in foster homes while in Transitional Foster Care. To assure that quality exists, the program only employs personnel with good moral character, emotional stability, and of sufficient health, ability, experience and education to perform the duties assigned.


As the Quality Assurance Data Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for gathering policy updates to synthesize information and condense for ease of use amongst program staff, while also maintaining an organized system for gathering and storing policy updates. This individual will also generate various reports, spreadsheets, correspondences, notices, and other documents in accordance with deadlines. This role works with macro social systems for the tracking and advancement of micro programming.


This position is expected to function effectively with moderate supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate various reports, spreadsheets, correspondences, notices, and other documents in accordance with deadlines;
  • Enter and generate data as requested in a timely manner;
  • Receive and route incoming phone calls, and email and/ postal mail;
  • Coordinate correspondence between stakeholders regarding program updates, policy
    updates and data requests;
  • Gather policy updates to synthesize information and condense for ease of use amongst
    program staff;
  • Maintain an organized system for gathering and storing policy updates;
  • Assist in providing administrative support to Quality Assurance Manager and other office
    staff as needed;
  • Perform basic bookkeeping as needed;
  • Maintain an inventory of office supplies and order office supplies when inventory is running low;
  • Assist program staff with IT requests;
  • Perform 30 day well-being and follow up calls to discharged clients;
  • Stay abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social
    services;
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s level degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field of study from an accredited college, preferably Master’s level degree;
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish;
  • Prior experience working with policy updates and data maintenance, strongly preferred;
  • Ability to analyze and think critically about complex issues is imperative for the data collection and presentation process.
  • Working knowledge of English, Spelling and Math;
  • Knowledge of office practices, procedures and business equipment;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Must possess an ability to read, understand and synthesize policies;
  • Desire to promote and sustain the well-being of vulnerable youth through honest and consistent data representation;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions;
  • Active motor vehicle license and maintain a reliable automobile with adequate insurance coverage;
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Cultural Diversity Commitment.
