Job Description
Broadridge is growing! We are currently hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team in a remote capacity on contract basis! In this role, you'll be primarily responsible for understanding moderate to highly complex testing requirements, test scripting, test execution, and reporting test results for enterprise level financial software applications. Responsibilities include:
Planning
- You'll participate in the preparation of comprehensive test plans and scripts for new and changed functionality as per department policies and procedures for the following: automated and manual; positive and negative; regression, integration, system, and smoke testing.
- You will assist the manager to ensure understanding of the testing scope & actively partake in planning the testing activity – setting landmarks, resourcing & monitoring.
- Participate in defining and implementing standard methodologies, scripting guidelines and standards, and evaluation and use of efficiency improvements.
- Plan for the automation feasibility study after every release to identify cases for automated regression.
Testing
- You'll test sophisticated & critical projects, for both new functionality within the existing product and for new product testing.
- Performance testing of sophisticated software changes to ensure there is no degradation of performance or usability.
- Collaborate closely with the development teams and the product managers on testing discrepancies identified.
Test Management
- Coordinate comprehensive and re-usable test data to cover all test conditions. Ensure test data sets are published and made available to developers.
- Understand the organization’s quality standards and procedures.
- Actively supply to the development of consistent testing methodology/process & ensure implementation to improve the quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
- Hands-on software test planning, estimating and test cases creation.
- Experience of and ability to craft and execute effective test cases
- Solid grasp of /defect management systems, preferably Quality Center or Jira
- Shown experience with testing mobile products across multiple mobile platforms, particularly iOS, Android, and/or Windows phone.
- Solid understanding of mobile video and audio encoding formats.
- Hands on experience with (technical) troubleshooting of mobile applications.
- Working experience with exploratory and/or usability testing
- Knowledge of the full software development and testing lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of Objective-C, Java, JavaScript, XML, xslt, SQL, relational databases, HTTP HTML, testing of xml or JSON feeds, shell scripting, Selenium, Serenity, Postman
- Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
- Able to work on their own to research blockers/problems and ultimately to identify efficient solutions.
Preferred
- ISTQB or ISTQB-Mobile certification.
- Background in Financial Services or FinTech, a plus
- Experience of hands-on testing in Agile development environments
- Working knowledge of automated testing solutions for mobile products.
