Job Description
Overview: MSC is currently searching for a Quality Assurance Analyst to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Work is on-site in Rockville, MD, with the possibility to telework. The QA Analyst will work as part of a highly motivated Agile software development team that provides biomedical informatics and IT support to cancer research. This involves working with the user community and other stakeholders to help meet scientific objectives in clinical and translational research, data science, discovery biology, and data sharing.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with the software development team to understand software applications and systems being enhanced or developed.
- Develop, plan, and document appropriate formal software verification processes, including test goals, test standards, test methods, test cases, and test documentation, for sake of ensuring that software works as designed and as expected
- Provide guidance to project teams in test design and the use of testing tools
- Execute formal testing as planned and informal testing as necessary
- Write and execute automated test scripts
- Document and report test results to developers, project management, and other stakeholders as necessary
- Analyze defects and issues discovered, and work with the team to prioritize and resolve defects
- Support user acceptance testing
- Implement load/stress tests
- Support the verification and validation of security controls
- Review software quality processes and results, seeking to identify lessons learned, and make appropriate improvements, on a regular basis
Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor’s in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math or related technical major
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance and testing in all phases of the software testing lifecycle
- Organized, detail-oriented, self-starter, team player and a quick learner.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
- Experience in both manual and automated testing
- Experience testing APIs
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Experience working in AWS environment
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with biomedical research and data
- Experience working at NIH
