Job Description
The Quality Assistant is responsible for assisting in all quality issues, inspections and measuring tool verifications. The primary objective of this position is to support adherence to customer, ISO, IATF 16949, and industry requirements.
How you’ll contribute to our company:
- Perform Monthly Micrometer, Caliper and Hardness verification
- Assist in process capability studies and gauge R&R’S
- Communicate all issues with production supervisors/manager as needed
- Visually inspect material during processing at all processes as needed
- Help prevent non-conforming material (containment)
- Help to perform root cause analysis in customer corrective actions
- Perform random and required finished goods assessments
- Trouble shoot quality issues at the machine during processing
- Assist in Mill claims when needed
- Promote positive quality driven culture
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Here’s what is needed to be successful:
- Knowledge of ISO and IAFT16949 standards
- Knowledge of quality systems, production methods, and performance objectives
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand material tags and production instructions
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively
