This includes 50+ years’ of experience performing complex RF Engineering analysis for DoD customers, civilian government agencies, and commercial companies worldwide. Our expertise in collecting, analyzing, and formatting spectrum data, including RF measurement, frequency assignment, spectrum certification, LiDAR, and other geo-referenced data, enables us to produce refined RF modeling and simulation tools and applications with the reliability and precision needed to assure spectrum access and control. HII’s analysis-driven tools support diverse tasks such as spectrum forensics and deconfliction, testing for coverage amid urban clutter, and antenna site planning. HII’s Radio Frequency and Electromagnetic Spectrum Engineering Directorate (RESED) offers a variety of work, from projects supporting international satellite coordination to countering IEDs. Essential Job Responsibilities- Performs research of national defense and homeland security public policy issues
- Prepares materials, policy briefings, talking points, speech drafts or presentations, and proposals on a variety of national defense issues for key internal and external audiences
- Conducts research using both qualitative methods and quantitative methods, such as case studies, survey research, statistical analysis, and model building
- Collaborates with technical staff, SPP Director, SPP Deputy Directors, and Executive Assistant to the Director
- Evaluates the effectiveness of existing government policies and programs and formulates recommendations regarding strategies to achieve identified mission
- Participates in meetings and working groups, both internal and external, with the Director. Schedules, prepares materials and notes, and maintains action item lists for working group meetings
- Drafts and ensure quality control for various documents, including internal and external correspondence and documents of a sensitive or confidential nature
- Manages special projects (both internal and external) on behalf of the SPP Director
- Demonstrates an ability to interact with persons of all backgrounds, cultures and affiliations within all levels of government, business or non-profit entities
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

- Must be able to work independently (self starter)

- Experience working in the DoD or gov space preferred
