QA Automation Engineer

We are seeking a talented QA Automation Engineer to design and optimize testing procedures for our software applications. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and validating the functionality and performance of applications using our existing and new test cases and no-code automation framework. You will lead the current QA Engineers and other team members through the automation and other processes you establish.

To ensure success as a QA Automation Engineer, you should have prior proven success in automation testing in a SaaS environment, a keen eye for detail, and excellent project management and communication skills. You are able to quickly gain deep knowledge of existing systems. Optimizing processes will include creating efficient test runs, integrating to automated deployment processes (CI/CD), ensuring proper reporting gets to all stakeholders, and leading other QA Functional testers and Engineers.

QA Automation Engineer Responsibilities:

• Meeting with the software design team to discuss verification protocols, early in the SDLC. In TeamSupport QA is developed along with the code and automation ready the day code is delivered.
• Developing best-practice processes for automated and manual software test procedures.
• Optimizing available test runs to maximize automations.
• Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas (in here we expect that you will foster proactive leadership by having QA inform R&D).
• Expanding automation capabilities as new products and modules are added.
• Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures.
• Integrating automation into the CI/CD process.
• Identifying quality issues and creating test reports.
• Ensure report distribution to stakeholders.
• Collaborating with the development team to help solve application faults.
• Ability to train other technical and non-technical team members

QA Automation Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar field.
• Previous experience working as a QA Automation Engineer in a SaaS environment.
• Advanced programming skills including automation systems and databases.
• Familiarity with programming and script languages including .NET, React, and JavaScript. Other languages will be added over time.
• Excellent analytical skills. Be able to prepare presentations and other documents, presentable to senior management.
• Good understanding of statistical correctness vs. one offs and use this knowledge to drive decisions.
• Excellent time and follow up management. Own your domain and be accountable for it.
• Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good project management skills.
