Job Description

Zinus USA is looking for a candidate with entry level Purchasing/Procurement experience in a Manufacturing environment. Must have experience with SAP-ERP, knowledge of Incoterms 2020 and trading conditions.

Major Functions:

  • Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.
  • Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.
  • Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.

Essential Functions: *

  • Prepare and report monthly purchasing results.
  • Researching and identifying prospective suppliers for MRO goods.
  • Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase MRO goods.
  • Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
  • Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
  • Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Use SAP to input key data (Vendor info., Raw material Mater, Info. Record) and data-keeping.

Additional Responsibilities: *

  • Assumes other duties as assigned by Purchasing Manager or Purchasing Assistant Manager.

Prerequisites for the job: *

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, or related discipline.
  • One to Three years of Purchasing experience required, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Broad knowledge of the trading conditions and Incoterms 2020 required.
  • Experience in ERP (SAP).
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel ability.
  • Critical thinking and negotiation skills with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Organizational Relationships: *

  • Accountable to the Purchasing Manager or Purchasing Assistant Manager for all phases of activities.
  • Close coordination with Purchasing Assistant Manager.
