Purchasing Manager Job Summary:
We're looking for a strong Purchasing Manager with experience in supply chain management. The ideal candidate will be a team player with an ability to observe patterns and have a curious personality. Will need strong analytical and leadership skills to implement business strategy.

Purchasing Manager Essential Functions:

  • Team Management: Lead a team of 3 talented individuals in Purchasing along with other departments for a smooth business flow.
  • Promotions: Identify opportunities with vendors that can translate into an increase in margin as well as sales that increase revenue.
  • Pricing Strategy: Goal to optimize margins by accounting for freight, volume discounts, competition pressures that can affect revenue, and industry standards
  • New Product setup and Roll-out: Identify gaps in our product lines and fill them
  • Product Management: Align product setup with eCommerce requirements and to optimize online services for customer base.
  • Communication: Responsible for vendor relationships, requests for pricing or new products, promotions on products, all buyers, audits on vendor lines, consistency of buying which include lead times, price discrepancies
  • Manage Queues in ERP: Maximize use of all the different tools in the ERP system to analyze trends, review inventory, expedite POs, etc. to maintain a steady flow of the supply chain.

Purchasing Manager Qualifications:

  • Have a positive attitude and strong ability to connect cross departmental requirements
  • Curious mindset with a macro perspective
  • Flexible and able to adapt to any situation
  • Supply chain fulfillment experience in particular logistics
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Supply Chain/Purchasing/Business Admin preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably, Solar Eclipse from Epicor
  • Minimum 3 successful years of Purchasing/Supply Chain experience
  • Minimum 3 successful years of leadership/management role
  • Successfully complete a drug/physical test and background check
  • Authorized to work in the US (we are an E-Verify employer)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
