Job Description
Position Overview:
The Purchasing & Analytics Intern will support the Exteriors corporate and plant purchasing teams as required in various projects (sourcing, analytics, market making, plant specific). This person will also work in our Global Spend and Power BI Analytic systems in support of the effective use of big data to drive opportunities for the business. Special projects will be assigned as well throughout the summer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Interfacing and supporting corporate purchasing and plant purchasing personnel Spend and supplier analytics use and research May support various key projects at local divisions as required
Qualifications: Some related experience in internships or co-ops highly preferred
Education / Experience:
High School Diploma
Currently attending a College or University with a degree path in Purchasing / Supply Chain / Supply Management / Materials & Logistics
Special Knowledge / Skills: Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
Physical Demands / Work Environment: Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
