Job Description
Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist - Pulmonary Rehabilitation - is responsible for facilitating the training of patients with pulmonary disease in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities of the program include instructing patients with how to live with chronic disease providing education and exercise.
Responsibilities:
Provides pulmonary rehab program education and exercise classes either group or 1:1 two times per week for 6 weeks
Oversees the alumni maintenance exercise program offered 3 times per week
Provides airway clearance 1:1 sessions per physician order
Performs 6 Minute Walk Tests
Fulfills all compliance and database responsibilities related to this position
Performs other duties as assigned by Department leadership

- Registered Respiratory Therapist
- State of Ct License as Respiratory Care Practitioner
- BLS for health care providers
- Microsoft office skills - Word, Excel and Powerpoint
