Job Description
Operate and maintain loader and Pug Mill to feed conveyors, hoppers, or load trucks in our Beaumont and Southeast Texas Aggregate Yards.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid and current Driver's License
Willing to work late evenings, weekends and overtime as needed
Experience operating heavy equipment
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
Ability to climb up and down tall silos
Good attendance is essential
Duties and/or Responsibilities:
Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
Safely and properly operate and perform maintenance on loader, and other equipment.
Load trucks up to legal hauling weight limit.
Maintain smooth, level haul roads.
Maintain contaminate free aggregate piles.
Inspect material; check gradation quality, oversize rocks, contaminants.
Check for spillage on plant floor and clean up daily (assist with shoveling spillage).
Always work safely, following all safety protocol, and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
Timely and regular attendance is essential.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirments:
Extensive walking on uneven surfaces
Lift and carry up to 100 pounds
Exposure to dust, fumes, odors
Hand eye coordination
Exposure to mists, adhesives, acids
Frequent and/or extended periods requiring kneeling, bending, and/or twisting
Operating equipment at night under artificial lighting
Working in all weather conditions for extended period of time
Position will remain open until 7/31/2021 or until it is filled.
