THE WORKING CONDITIONS YOU CAN EXPECT: The Department of Public Safety, Division of Alaska Wildlife Troopers, is recruiting for Public Safety Technician I position in multiple locations. You will have the opportunity to work in varying outdoor environmental conditions as well as some time spent in an office setting.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: To be successful in the position a candidate will need to possess:
Ability to set up camp independently in a wilderness situation- Experience using hazardous equipment, such as firearms, chain saws, etc.
- Experience operating boats more than 24 feet in length
- Ability to perform general building maintenance, to include plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs
- Ability to spend long periods of time in close quarters while at sea on vessels between 29-156 feet in length
