PT Picker/Packer

Position Summary & Purpose:

The Picker/Packer will be responsible for picking, preparing and packaging customer merchandise for shipment. The Picker/Packer will ensure that items are picked from the Direct Sales Inventory according to the customer purchase; prepared according to industry, Lehman’s and shipping standards in order to ensure safety of product; and that purchased items are packaged and shipped appropriately by the most cost effective and quickest means possible according to customer request. The Picker/Packer will assist the Lehman’s Direct Sales team members in creating a memorable shopping experience by following through to the end of the order process to ensure the customer the customer has received exceptional customer service (from beginning to end) and creating an outstanding first impression. PLEASE NOTE THAT SCHEDULE IS FLEXIBLE!

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Picker

o Prepare pick ticket for each pick cart

o Pick merchandise from inventory shelves and compare with pick ticket to verify accuracy

o Visually inspect merchandise for defects

· Packer

o Print orders and place orders in pick carts (also known as pick ticket)

o Visually inspect merchandise for defects

o Hand pack merchandise and stuffing/stabilizing materials into shipping boxes

o Use computer software system to record shipment data (shipping address, weight, shipping charges, etc.)

o End of line duties which can include but are not limited to packaging

· Requisition and stock shipping materials and supplies

· Facilities maintenance duties as needed such as sweeping and dusting

· Organizing work area for orderliness at all times in order to comply with safety guidelines

· Other duties as assigned
