Title: High School Computer Science Teacher
Qualifications:
- Colorado Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Instructional Technology.
- Good oral and written communication skills and strong work ethic.
- Experience working with high school students.
- Working knowledge of Spreadsheets, Google Classroom, Word Processing and SIS (student information systems).
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.
physical demands:
The work requires periods of light physical activity and requires long periods of time standing and/or walking. Most of the work is performed in the classroom setting and requires the ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds; reach, hold, grasp, and turn objects; and use fingers to operate computer and typewriter keyboards and visual aides for students.

Job Goal:
To help each pupil develop an awareness of the role of computer science/ technology in economic and social progress; to motivate each pupil to acquire skills in instructional technology; and to discover and develop special talents of pupils in computer related fields.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Teaches courses in Computer Science/ Instructional Technology and Programming.
- Willingness to receive training in teaching Advanced Placement Computer Science course.
- Provides supervision of students in educational settings.
- Develops lesson plans and organizes daily classes so that demonstration, instruction, and practice can be completed within the allotted time.
- Keeps accurate documentation regarding student progress, needs, strengths, daily attendance, etc. (i.e. grades, observations, anecdotal records, other related data).
- Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive environment in the computer lab where several kinds of activities may be taking place simultaneously.
- Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities.
- Communicates with parents and school counselors on pupil progress.
- Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned work day.
- Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs.
- Participates in faculty committees and the sponsorship of student activities.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary: Certified Salary Schedule, up to 7 years of experience allowed.
Work Schedule: A minimum of 175 days per year or as designated by board adopted salary schedule.

Hours: A minimum of 7.5 hours per day as designated by the Building Principal
FLSA STATUS: Exempt/Certified
