Job Description
Job Summary/Purpose:
The Gemini 3 Group is seeking a Proposal Writer: to play a vital role in presenting compelling and compliant proposal solutions and information in response to requests for proposals and quotations from a variety of customers including federal, state, and municipal government organizations.

Essential Responsibilities/Functions:
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME), Program Managers, and the Director of Business Development to draft proposal sections that clearly articulate the solution, strategy, and approach to work performance while consistently communicating win themes and company discriminators.
    • Adeptly communicate with SMEs and conduct research to gather the data required to complete an effective, accurate, and dynamic proposal.
    • Research and collaborate with team members to identify the most applicable past performance and corporate capabilities and ensure writing can be substantiated.
    • Identify and recommend mitigation strategies related to gaps and risks in proposal management and business development processes and operations.
    • Write clear, persuasive, and articulate proposal sections; translate complex ideas into easily understandable text.
    • Demonstrate understanding of document template management and basic design elements contributing to consistent, dynamic, and easily read proposals.
    • Write various proposal sections (i.e. past performance, management strategy, etc.) and contribute to the development of more technically complex proposal volumes.

Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
    • Excellent writing skills, including understanding of grammatical rules, punctuation, sentence structure, and active/passive voice.
    • Demonstrates understanding of importance of knowing the audience and writing for the audience.
    • Ability to surge work schedule to meet proposal schedule demands.
    • Ability to track and share work progress and action items using a variety of tools.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Access.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with a variety of personnel and organizations.

Required Education/Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Three (3) years of proposal writing in the Government contracting industry, or related business development experience.
