Job Description
SUMMARY: Provide accounting support to the ownership & departmental personnel by ensuring data integrity of financial information, providing timely & accurate reporting to management, safeguarding company assets, and maintaining internal controls. Performs analysis and prepares reporting from accounting records. Must have experience with RealPage software
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct monthly financial statement review with comparison to budget for Multifamily Residences, Commercial Properties & Condo Associations.
  • Prepare and file property tax returns and sales tax returns.
  • Perform the review and annual calculations for CAM charges.
  • Prepare key account reconciliations for assigned properties.
  • Review and prepare the recording of revenue for property sales.
  • Reviews and records charges for billable time associated with tenant Work Orders. Works with maintenance on closing out completed orders.
  • Design and create reporting from the Accounting system for Key Management Reports.
  • Complete annual entity registration fee processing.
  • Calculates and prepares cross entity charges and settlements including Management Fees and other reimbursable expenses.

  • Prepares and posts complex and confidential journal entries.
  • Review and understand all financing arrangements to ensure accurate accounting and compliance.
  • Examine, document and analyze existing policies and procedures, researching alternative opportunities, developing more effective and efficient processes.

  • Performs other related special projects and duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent
  • Proficient in RealPage software
  • Five to seven years related experience
  • Familiarity with GAAP and technical accounting standards and terminology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
