Job Description
We are celebrating our First 40 Years!
Kapur, a full service consulting engineering firm, continues to grow and is seeking a Project Specialist experienced in support of a technical team to join our Utilities group in our new Madison, Wisconsin office. Kapur provides a complete range of civil and construction engineering and design services for clients and projects throughout Wisconsin.
Qualified candidates should have the aptitude to assist the engineering design team on the initial project set up, review applications for completeness, obtain missing information, determine if a permit is required, pull mapping from the GIS map, update the mapping, perform site checks, perform staking requests, confirm one-call tickets, coordinate with contractors and customers, coordinate timing of energizing with customer, metering, operations and scheduling duties.
Necessary skills include good organizational methods, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, capable of understanding and utilizing mapping systems with minimal assistance, readiness to complete field duties as required.
This opportunity is not a "work from home" based position. Project assignments will include office work based in our Kapur office as well as project field visits.
A valid Wisconsin Driver License is required. Use of personal vehicles are required and mileage is reimbursed at the 2021 Federal Mileage Rate on a bi-weekly schedule.
