We have an immediate need for an experienced Project Manager /Analyst (PM) to come grow with us! This is a great opportunity for a PM who comes from a business transition/transformation background to be part of a global team focused on working with clients in multiple regions and industries.
At SPS, Project Managers play a vital role in ensuring that all client transition and business transformation projects are successfully planned and executed to delivery. As a Project Manager, you will have the goal of ensuring timely, on budget, and high-quality delivery of all milestone deliverables and outcomes by managing the project scope, people, and resources. Working collaboratively with SPS’s Project Director, project team members from within various company departments, and outside partners, the project manager will lead and oversee the project activities, working to proactively track and manage progress.
Job Description
The responsibilities of the Project Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business requirements in collaboration with all stakeholders, including senior executives, sponsors, business managers and operations
- Document and analyze information and processes to solve critical business issues
- Create and execute end-to-end project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Proactively communicate project details across all levels of the client organization and across multiple departments in a clear and concise manner
- Coordinate project activities between team members, while maximizing their productivity to achieve project goals
- Build internal and external business relationships vital to the success of the project
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
- Identify, assess and minimize risks throughout the project life cycle
- Create and maintain all project documentation pertinent to the project, including but not limited to, status reports, work plans, presentations and budget
- Understand team dynamics and adapt project management methodology as needed to ensure project success
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for change; identify flaws in logic or assumption errors
- Enhance organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and innovative requests, exploring opportunities to add value and challenge norms.
- Assist in developing project management standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Provide project support during client site implementations
- Assist with client invoicing process including but not limited to: uploading invoices to client AP system, tracking invoices and their details, and reviewing all submissions prior to approval
Requirements
- Proven ability to influence and manage internal and external resources in a highly matrix’d environment
- Proven ability to address competing priorities within a single project with a positive, can-do attitude
- Proven business analytical capabilities to solve complex business issues
- Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills needed to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Proficiency Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project programs
- Experience with business implementation processes
- Invoicing and billing experience
- Bachelor’s degree (perferred in business or a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, engineering)
- Certification in project management disciplines (PMP, Agile, etc) A plus**
- A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with a proven track record of driving innovation and business metrics with a customer-first mindset
- Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines, thrive in a complex, dynamic, matrix environment with rapidly evolving business demands
