Job Description
This position is accountable for managing strategic initiatives and providing operational support specific to Triad HealthCare Network (THN) and Cone Health System. The Project Manager Population Health is responsible for leading teams in the achievement of both THN and Cone Health?s goals related to the True North Metrics and Managed Care, while furthering the values of Cone Health and THN. The Project Manager provides guidance to THN and Cone having direct line responsibilities for one or more project initiatives.
Responsibilities

  • Supports THN and Cone Health achievement of the True North metrics, outcomes in the areas of quality, population health, operational cost reduction, and patient satisfaction.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the change management process to include financial, operational, and human resource perspectives and to facilitate radical changes in technology, processes and people.
  • Works closely with quality/reporting data to identify and prioritize opportunities for project management i.e., a data-driven approach to improvement in both clinical and operational areas across THN.
  • Interfaces with executive and department leaders to help identify opportunities for improvement, organizes resources, selects and implements the appropriate improvement methodology and ensures projects are conducted successfully.
  • Uses effective interpersonal and group facilitation skills to assign accountability and deal with group conflict and breakdown. Quantifies project cost savings and/or return on investment.
  • Supports all THN initiatives. Serves as internal coach to leaders and team members to achieve assigned project-focused tasks
  • Responsible for the design, project planning and implementation of strategic projects, (Lean Six Sigma, Rapid Improvement, Reengineering, Process Redesign, CQI, Business Development, Benchmarking, Productivity Improvements, Technology Breakthroughs, etc.) which cut across divisions, departments, inpatient, ambulatory and community care.
  • Assists with departmental efforts the support the oversight of the Process Improvement chapter of Joint Commission regulatory standards.
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor?s degree in Industrial Engineering, Health Systems Engineering, Health Education, Health Promotion or Business Administration, or Bachelors of Science in Nursing or Medical Field.
EXPERIENCE:

Required: Minimum three years of experience leading teams using Six Sigma, Lean, Project Management or other process improvement methodology. Prior project management experience in health care or other service industry required. Previous experience developing presentations and public speaking is required. Demonstrated experience in understanding and working to modify and improve system processes and/or care delivery.

Preferred: Prior Project Management experience highly preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

REQUIRED

Valid Driver's License | Valid Driver's License

Required: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, or Project Management certification from a nationally recognized organization. BSN degree. Current, valid North Carolina Registered Nurse license or other state license, if applicable. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required within 24 months of hire.
