TKE Airport Systems manufactures, installs, operates and maintains passenger boarding bridges through three companies at locations around the world:
1. TK Airports Solutions S.A., based in Mieres, Asturias (Spain).
2. TK Airport Solutions Inc., based in Fort Worth, Texas (U.S.A.).

What we expectOVERALL POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of all projects in a timely manner.
CORE TASKS:
- Accountable for overseeing all aspects of a contract during contract bidding through all subsequent processes to assure the timely completion.
- Responsible for the project management of walkways and passenger boarding bridge projects, including but not limited to planning, scheduling, design coordination, installation, and documentation.
- Accountable for managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Timely response to customer communication, coordinate schedules and installation with customers.
- Project billing and pay applications.
- Coordinate and track submittal approval process.
- Responsible for site visits and harmonizing meetings with customers.
- Accountable for establishing and maintaining a strong customer relation with clients, while focusing on Company’s expected level of profitability from Contract.
- Responsible to coordinate and oversee the installation of our equipment. Manage and provide direction to subcontractors and our own field personnel.
- Responsible to solicit quotes and initiate purchase orders for auxiliary equipment, shipping and installation subcontracts.
- Responsible for assuring projects are implemented and completed in a time efficient and cost effective manner through contracting with sub-contractors, coordinating activities with airport and airline management; oversee safety regulations; maintaining control of project cost; preparing accounting reports and presenting reports to all levels of Company management.
- Assure timely completion of necessary paperwork for job costing, schedule requirements, parts and supply requirements.
- Accountable for interfacing with all levels of management and personnel, Engineering, Material Management, client’s representatives, major contractor, sub-contractors, vendors, etc. in a professional manner, whereby reflecting a positive image of TK Airport Solutions, Inc.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and correction of problems that develop throughout the normal process of completing the project and turning it over to After Sales
- As engineering changes develop, assist in implementation of changes and modifications.
- Responsible for issuing Change Orders, on an as-needed basis, and obtaining proper approval and signatures from Client and TK Airport Solutions, Inc.
- Accountable for cost containment of the contract; tracking of cost and issuing financial reports to Department Director, Sales, Finance, Accounting and President.
- Participate and add value as a member of the TKAS Management Team.
- Engages in effective communication within and across departments.
- Participate in Company Safety Program through safety meetings, audits, following good safe work practices and maintaining a safety and clean work environment.
- Commitment to quality by meeting and exceeding our customer expectations and continuously improving our quality management system and their processes to create value for customers, employees and shareholders.
QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION HOLDER:
Expert Know How/Knowledge:
- Proficient with MS Office, MS Project or other scheduling software.
- Ability to manage projects, processes and interface with customers in an effective, efficient manner.
- Demonstrated experience and success in management of projects, processes and high-level customer service.
- Experience with collaborating with multiple departments; manufacturing, field installation engineering, and sales.
- Knowledge/experience of heavy industry field and fluent in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must. Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.
- Ability to travel as needed and/or work extended hours.
- Ability to read and understand financial reports.
- Possess strong discipline to provide accurate and timely data.
- Impeccable attention to detail, effective problem solving skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast pace environment.
- Ability to work well with a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time – accurately, efficiently and effectively.

Expected (Educational) Qualifications:
Associates Degree or equivalent work related experience.
Bachelor Degree preferred.
Expected Years of Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience in project management role within a manufacturing environment.
