Job Information


CSS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our PMO Execution and Governance team. In this role you will report to the Senior Director of the PMO and will be responsible for helping to shape and mature best practices for project and product delivery, as well as the corresponding governance framework for the Agile Lean Portfolio Management. CSS is undergoing a transition to the Product Model and this role will be instrumental in helping to drive the maturation of the framework and tailoring Agile SAFe processes at the Enterprise level. That includes definition of the communication strategy, driving adoption of process changes and ensuring ongoing compliance. Additionally, you will help to oversee a portfolio of the enterprise-wide investment initiatives and will collaborate with other department leaders to develop and implement technical projects. The PM may support critical enterprise-wide initiatives and play the role of a Project Manager, Release Train Engineer(RTE), or a Scrum Master(SM), as needed depending on the size of the project.



Key Job Functions

  • Support the transition from the hybrid waterfall/Agile model to the Product Model and help to scale SAFe practices at the Enterprise level
  • Manage and promote continuous improvement of delivery standards and frameworks. Help to establish Community of Practice for RTEs and SMs
  • Support Portfolio planning, prioritization, budgeting and review processes
  • Establish and communicate relevant planning, prioritization, financial management, and execution processes
  • Ensure all aspects of project Governance are effectively executed and relevant artifacts are retained
  • Establish relevant KPIs, reporting views and dashboards for status reporting
  • As needed, support project and product delivery and wear multiple hats as a Project Manager or a Release Train Engineer
  • Partner with Business and Technical leaders to drive the effort to successful completion
  • Manage roadmaps/schedule, scope, financials, and benefit reporting, communicating any changes.
  • Continuously monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders (using relevant Agile and waterfall metrics)
  • Facilitate key Agile ceremonies
  • Ensure transparency, effective communication and proactive escalation or risks and issues
  • Help the team to remove roadblocks and manage dependencies
QUALIFICATIONS:


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required


Minimum Experience


  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a PM/RTE/SM
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Agile methodologies
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Technology projects
  • Consulting industry background

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong project management skills (schedule development and management, meeting facilitation, execution monitoring, status reporting, and risk management)
  • Experience with Agile/SAFe and waterfall methodologies
  • Ability to design and manage the implementation of programs that meet organizational goals and objectives
  • Strong achievement orientation and attention to details
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, matrix environment
  • Ability to collect/analyze data and formulate business recommendations for senior management
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to create presentation materials for Executive audience
  • Demonstrated ability to build and coach high-performing project teams
  • Proficiency with key MS products (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and JIRA
  • Ability to mentor and coach team members
  • At least one Agile Certification is mandatory
  • PMP certification is a Plus
  • Experience in PMO role is a Plus
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to create complex dashboards is a Plus
