Within Community Operations, our Inauthentic Behavior Operations teams strive to build a more trustful, engaging place for people to interact on Facebook and Instagram. We identify, counteract and prevent negative experiences at scale including content or behavior that seek to deceive people, artificially boost distribution, or abuse product features. Our teams identify methods to detect spam and abuse, surface trends and insights globally, and partner cross-functionally with product/engineering, policy and data teams to intelligently scale our operations. Our teams take a holistic approach across both Facebook and Instagram to detect abuse and aim to be the first and last layers of defense in adversarial problems. Facebook is seeking a solutions-oriented, self-starter with a passion for helping others and protecting our community. This individual will sit within the Global Inauthentic Behavior Operations team, and work to improve the overall user experience by delivering qualitative and quantitative insight into user behavior. As a Project Manager, you will identify areas for process improvement, help us intelligently scale our operations by optimizing and automating processes and solve challenging problems and help to prevent them.
  • Develop a deep understanding of spam and other nefarious behavior, and how it affects Facebook, Instagram and our communities
  • Gather, analyze and represent on scale user trends to improve the overall user support experience
  • Use signals and insights to identify opportunities in driving down spam and other nefarious behavior
  • Analyze metrics to improve efficiency of spam detection workflows
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Automation Developers, Policy and Legal to identify, influence, and execute our abuse fighting strategies
  • Communicate insights around the spam ecosystem to the cross-functional partners
  • Develop and lead end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery of critical initiatives
  • Use problem solving skills to resolve scalable spam and inauthentic behavioral problems
  • Manage multiple different workflows with vendors and execute on key long-term strategic initiatives and projects
  • Address sensitive content issues, including but not limited to graphic images, videos and writings, offensive or derogatory language, and other objectionable material
  • 2+ years of work experience in an operations, project management, consulting, startup, or equivalent environment
  • 2+ years of work experience leading projects with cross-functional partners
  • Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Experience being a connector across teams and managing a program/project against KPIs through to completion
  • Experience identifying trends and insights from large data sets
  • Experience communicating with a variety of audiences and stakeholders
  • Problem-solving experience
  • Experience developing and documenting procedures and workflows
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree
  • Experience assessing, analyzing and resolving complicated issues, and distilling that complexity into simple and concise concepts
  • Experience working with remote cross-functional teams
  • Experience using a project management method (e.g. Scrum, Lean, Agile)
  • 1+ years of work experience in a trust and safety, security, spam, or similar domain
  • 1+ years of work experience in outsourcing and vendor management
