We have been retained by our client in Dallas, Texas to deliver a Project Manager on a full-time, direct hire basis to work onsite downtown Dallas, Texas office and remote work from home 2-3 days a week.
Ensure the timely and effective delivery of IT projects across multiple lines of business. This will include planning the technology projects but also working in a hands-on capacity with both IT professionals and the business in order to successfully complete projects. We seek a candidate with strong and confident communication with great attention to detail. A high degree of organization and follow-through are also critical. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget & scope and delivering with high quality. Oversee all aspects of IT projects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities as well as monitoring and summarizing progress of IT projects. Responsible for preparing reports for upper management regarding status of their project. Work directly with the Business and IT team to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible. Request resources as needed to fulfill project needs.

- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget and of high quality
- Develop a detailed project plan including project schedule, issues/risk log, and regular reporting to monitor and track progress
- Follow Release and Change Management SDLC processes
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, and uncovering areas for improvement
- Develop a positive and professional business relationship with internal as well as external users
- Manage the relationship with the Business and all stakeholders in terms of the project plan

Requirements:
- BA or BS or equivalent experience is required; MA or MS is a plus
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
- A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies including 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams. PMP preferred
- Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with application development projects. PMI-ACP, Agile Certified Practitioner, CSM, Certified Scrum Master or equivalent preferred
- Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with 5 - 10 team members including Vendors, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Personnel
- Balanced business/technical background:
- Sufficient level of technical background to provide leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
- Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value

- Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
Employment Type: Regular Full-Time, Direct-Hire
Salary Range: $110,000 to $140,000 / year
