Job Description

ERM is seeking a Project Control Specialist to support multi-disciplinary client accounts in the Western Pacific area , and specifically in Northern California. The Project Control Specialist will support various program management teams with project control, program management and coordination, finances, deliverable review, and misc. project and program analytical tasks. Programs and services supported include, but are not limited to, strategic consulting, mergers and acquisitions, asset management, demolition, safety observation, safety assurance, environmental review, storm water management, investigations and remediation, permitting and approvals, geographic information systems (GIS), and training.

This individual will demonstrate a bias for results and an ability to respond to internal and client requirements in a rapid, flexible and efficient manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with daily operations to deliver a program scope, schedule, and budget that meets client expectations and ERM business objectives, including safe operations, client satisfaction, quality delivery, and program profitability.
  • Support program management staff, including teams leading program controls and finance, resourcing and planning, and logistics support.
  • Assist the project teams and leadership with the delivery of multiple project workstreams within the programs
  • Assist with the development and execution of effective plans of action to run the existing program, including innovative processes to improve program functions and productivity.
  • Manages cross-functional projects, programs or initiatives
  • Communicate proactively with the project team and senior leadership.
  • Analyzes program and project financial and operational metrics. Collaborate with senior management to resolve schedule and budget problems as they arise.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with other ERM employees.
  • Develop a working understanding of ERM’s consulting practice areas and actively support these services to existing clients. Support the general growth and development of the Program and ERM’s Managed Services offerings.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • AA or higher in business management, business administration, engineering, planning, environmental management or related degree.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in project control, project management, document review, and project coordination.
  • Demonstrated excellence to assist with programs that achieve client objectives. Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Proven ability to support cross-functional teams including project managers, functional managers, and technical disciplines.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and employees to promote a culture of safety and collaboration.
  • Outstanding organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to flex to accommodate ever-changing and multiple priorities, handle a fast-paced consulting environment, and strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills in a dynamic work environment. offer and receive constructive feedback and direction to support targeted goals.
