Job Summary:
The Project Assistant works as a member of a team providing support on bids at the proposal preparation and submission phase. The Project Assistant’s primary responsibility will be to maintain accurate records and support the Project Manager / Estimator and field staff as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in the estimating and proposal process by reviewing drawings, take offs and specifications and preparing proposals.
- Type and compile proposals and submittals for Estimator.
- Assist in financial management of projects including proposal preparation, invoicing and collections.
- Obtain bonds, permits and other miscellaneous items.
- Enters job information into accounting system * Completes A/R collection calls for Estimators billings.
- When required, attend project-planning meetings.
- Monitor local media for upcoming project opportunities.
Competencies or Experience Requirements
- 2 -3 years assistant estimator experience
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Travel
Travel is required as needed.
